February 11 - Lieutenant General Tom Waskow


As a Forward Air Controller in Vietnam, he flew 283 combat missions, a majority of those in defense of a town north of Saigon during the North Vietnamese invasion of South Vietnam in 1972. 

February 4 - Ineke Wilson Chinese New Year


February 5 is the start of the Chinese New Year and the year of the Pig.

Ineke talked about China, showed artifacts and demonstrated the Dragon dance and Tai Chi.

January 28 - Margi Kyle Little Smiles


Little Smiles began operating in 

Charlotte, NC in 2009. Margi Kyle 

was inspired to launch the chapter after watching her friends and family create little, local smiles in Palm Beach County, Florida.

The First African American Female Commissioned Military Pilot.

Retired Navy and American Airlines Pilot, and currently a ground school and full motion simulator instructor with FlyRight of Concord.

Founder of a cyber security business helping companies set up firewalls and to protect their computers and employees from outsiders. His company was one of the first to do website blocking.

David is an author and frequent lecturer, having delivered over 225 presentations on the History, Geography, and Future of Charlotte. His book 100 Lost Architectural Treasures of Old Charlotte is in its third printing.

In his picture-packed presentations, he shares his extensive knowledge of Charlotte's history and geography.

Cori uses energy tools such as Reiki and crystals to help the body and soul to heal itself and create a loving environment within and surrounding the body.
